Investment Policy Guidelines
A statement of investment policy is one of the most important working documents between a Plan and its investment managers. It should be a concise statement of the Plan’s objectives and policies, providing investment managers with pertinent information they need to know and clearly establishing the rules of the relationship with the Plan.
IPS utilizes an established process in the review and development of the policies and guidelines and we look at the investment policy from several different viewpoints to reflect actuarial, liquidity, and funding requirements of the Plan. We work closely with the client and fund counsel to develop investment guidelines which reflect the sensitivities and goals of the Plan.
Each year the IPS reviews investment policy language to ensure it remains current with trends in the securities market.
