History
IPS was founded in Savannah, GA in 1986 with the sole purpose of providing objective investment consulting advice to institutional employee benefit plans.
As our services and client base expanded, a Mid-Atlantic Office was opened in Metropolitan Philadelphia in 1999. Today we work with over 180 clients throughout the United States representing over 250 different employee benefit plans from various industries and over $60 billion in assets. We are proud of the long-standing relationships with our clients, some which have been with our firm since inception.
We are independently owned and operated by individuals working at the firm, and have always maintained an independent ownership structure since our inception. The owners of IPS are actively involved in all aspects of the business and have direct interaction with our clients. We believe our ownership structure aligns our interests with our clients’ interests, helps ensure the stability and longevity of our consulting staff, and avoids conflicts of interest.
Our only line of business is investment consulting. We are not affiliated with investment managers or broker-dealers. In addition, we do not offer our own investment products or create commingled investment vehicles. We believe our structure allows us to utilize best-in-class investment managers and provide unbiased, objective advice to our clients and their fund beneficiaries.
IPS employs disciplined procedures to ensure the consistency in the recommendations we make to our clients regarding all aspects of their investment program. We embrace best industry practices in governance, ethics and professionalism and offer a complete line of services designed to help clients make informed decisions in order to achieve their investment goals.
