Biography


Mr. Statts is Chairman Emeritus and a Senior Consultant at Investment Performance Services, LLC and is responsible for developing and implementing investment policy for the firm.  He is responsible for client relationships throughout the country and works on all aspects of client funds including investment policy formulation, asset allocation strategies, performance monitoring, and manager searches.  In addition, Mr. Statts serves as a member of the IPS Investment Committee and his manager research responsibilities focus on real estate investments.

As a founding member of the firm, Mr. Statts has over 40 years of industry experience.  Prior to IPS, he was an officer and partner of Wall, Patterson, Hamilton & Allen, Inc., an investment counseling firm in Atlanta, where he was responsible for the development and application of the computer-to-stock selection and the management of institutional portfolios.  In addition, he was a portfolio manager and member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee.

Mr. Statts graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1973 with a degree in Finance from Georgia State University, where he has also completed graduate studies in business.  Mr. Statts is a Trustee of the U.S. Coast Guard Foundation and is a member of the Fund’s Investment Committee.  He is also Chairman of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Endowment Fund.
